George Elgin Lamb was born Oct 25, 1912 in Newark, Jackson Co., Ar. to Willis Alva & Cora Alice Kington Lamb. Sept 7, 1935 George married Pauline Z. Mawson in Garland County, Ar. Oct. 16, 1940 George regristered for the WWII military draft. He had already served in the US Army Nov. 9, 1933 to Nov 8, 1936. He again enlisted Feb 12, 1941 and was discharged March 31, 1958. He left the service as a Sfc or a Sergeant First Class. He served in WWII as well as the Korean War. Sfc. George Elgin Lamb passed away Oct 15, 1997 at Little Rock, Pulaski Co., Ar. and was buried in the National Cemetery in Fort Smith, Arkansas.
